JESUS SAVES

So I may have mentioned this before, but music really speaks to me and gets me going and this song is one of my absolute fav's right now! Seriously I can't play it or sing it loud enough. Of course this only happens in my car on the way to and from work so if I look funny when you pass me you now know why...my own personal Carrie concerts...I am a rockin' mini van driving singing machine!

So Much...

So much going on right now that I wouldn't know where to begin..I am in a turmoil like none other. Uncertainty, anticipation, worldly road blocks...you name it I am probably feeling it, BUT I feel God is working something huge for my family and I can only try to control my humanly weaknesses and doubts and fully hand it over to him.

So hopefully as some more time passes I can reveal some things I believe may happen, but for now some cute pics. :)

EJ had to put a band aid on her head when she saw Grandpa's on Sunday. She keeps us laughing and hopping all the time. My beautiful sweetie.

Mo is growing so quickly and is so dog gone cute I had to take a pic Sunday morning. Actually I tried taking pics of both kids before church, but EJ wasn't having it, and Mo would smile after the camera flashed...oh well next time!

Please keep praying for the things that are stirring in my heart and my husband's heart for our family and for our business. So many are praying and I am so very thankful. Please pray for our EJ tomorrow as she has an eye appt to check some things and well she still gets really worked up about Dr.'s since her ICU stay almost a year ago. Please also pray for my sister who has been battling issues for a few years now from her MS. She is in the hospital again today and has been throwing up for a couple months now. Please pray for the Dr.'s as they try and figure out what is going on.

Please let me know if I can pray for you today and blessings on your weekend coming soon friends!

James 1:27

James 1:27
This verse says it all. It really does. NO REALLY IT DOES.

This is a verse, if you are a “bloggy” like me that is referenced a lot by many fellow adoptees in blog land and they get it, and I get it, but do you get it?

First, before I dive into this let’s go here:

A heart breaking image, isn’t it? We all have seen images like this, and for the most part that is where they stay with a lot of us, myself once included. An image with no name, an image that we can store in the back of our minds for another day…

BUT, if you know me and my family, my children especially, then let’s bring that image to the forefront and put a name on it.

EJ

Mo

Now put there faces or the faces of others you know on the first picture and allow that to soak into the depths of your heart even more. Because that could have been them! What if we would have said No, not right now Lord. We aren't ready yet, we don't have the finances, we don't have the time, and etc...Now that heartbreaking image is a heartbreaking reality, right?!

Never mistake that God’s heart is for the orphan, the lonely, and the widow. He COMMANDS us to care for them.

Read James 1:27 below:

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Now go back to James 1:22

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. DO WHAT IT SAYS.

The orphan and widow are referenced so much in scripture friends. Don’t wait for another day. Do what God is telling you to do and care for them.

Do you know how many times I have heard people say that we once thought we would adopt, BUT (insert a reason here, there are many)…. If God impresses it on your heart he will PROVIDE FOR IT no matter what. HE REALLY WILL!

Adoption is not for the weak, and it is not the easy road and it is not the solution or the only way to do what God commands us. When I say it is not for the weak I say this because Satan HATES adoption friends. He hates that children are being placed in Christian homes and learning about the love and saving grace of our Father. He will do everything he can to stop us from doing such a thing. He will plague us with doubt, he will bring crazy obstacles along the way, but GOD sees us through and he will bless what he ordains.

Adoption is a calling straight from God and it is not meant for everyone. Supporting families in this call may be how you are to help care for the orphan, or praying specifically for families adopting, or supporting one of the many organizations out there who do wonderful things for the orphan, the lonely, the hungry, and the widow.

There are so many more directions I could easily go with this post, so I am going to break it down more over time. I want to share the stories of our adoptions so far, mixed in with the famous, “We just can’t afford to adopt.” mentality of many (which we have said before we allowed God to lead),and also the struggle of having family or friends who do not support your adoption (my family faced this as well), and much more I hope.

And please Do not take me wrong, we are not all called to adopt, but we are all called to do something and you need to allow God to show you what that is; truth is he probably already has.

All in all, remember this, Scripture is our guide in life. If you aren’t diving into it and praying to God and speaking to God about it then you are missing out on many things God has in store. I am guilty of not getting in it and am striving to stop that today because I know that God has big things in store for my family and he is waiting on me to hear and obey his plan for that. I know Satan is trying to put a stop on that, but no matter what, I am not going to let him.

Also, as referenced above in scripture, we need to stop allowing the world to pollute us. We need to stop making our selves comfortable in our lifestyles and homes here on earth and start getting uncomfortable for God and what he has in store, because he has made our home, our resting place in heaven, but he wants us to do his work here before we go there. Our time of rest is not now folks, so let’s get to God’s work!

A Year Ago.....

Our family of four was finally together! Oh it was such an emotion filled moment! I missed my sweet girl and hubby so badly and was so excited to introduce them to little Mo. All I can recall is the tears just started flowing the minute I saw them, and I handed Mo to his Daddy and scooped my angel up.

I have so much to say about adoption and I am going to save that for another day (I know you can hardly wait, right?!) So soak in these pictures and stay tuned... :)

What do you do with 5 Days off work?

I enjoyed it with the hubby, my kids, family, and friends...IT. WAS. WONDERFUL!

We went to the fair a couple times; Mo's first time. EJ LOVES THE FAIR. She is already asking when we can go again; how do you explain a year away to a 3 1/2 year old?

EJ was a little sad here because we couldn't find our friend with the horse to give her a ride; she gets a hat every year just for the occasion.

We just spent time at home playing too. We also had a baptism for our friends sweetie, but I failed to take pics...

This is what Mo does when you say "Touch Down!"..yeah Grandpa taught him this..because you know the hubby and I do not watch sports..(GASP, I know we are odd!)

Mmm Hmmm...EJ PRETENDING she fell on the floor..yep that's right
