ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING

Sometimes my emotions run me and right now the information I have read today is making my blood boil. I just cannot (and then again I really can) believe this!

Please go to the Livesay's blog post from Feb. 21 and read the link they posted and what they have to say. Just Absurd.

A little behind....

We have had a lot of sickness floating through our house the last couple weeks and for some reason I am experiencing most of it. I am actually pretty glad about this because it breaks my heart when the kids are sick.

EJ had her second follow up heart appt. yesterday and the results were really good again. She does not have to go back for another year now. This is really good news because my poor sweetie was so scared when they tried to do the sonogram. She literally had to be held down and was screaming so bad. When they were done she looked at everyone through her tears and said Gracias. Talk about melt your heart!

Mighty Mo turned 9 months old this month! He is growing so much. He now weighs 18lbs 14 oz and has 2 teeth! He is also working on 2 more; poor baby. Teeth really are not fun.

So here are a couple pics from the other night. My kiddos attempting to look at a book together. Every time I told EJ to look at the camera and smile I received a different look; she is quite the ham!

DRAWN FROM WATER

I just found out about this wonderful organization that is saving children from being drowned to death in the river. There is a tribe in Africa that believe the "Mingi" (The cursed or imperfect) must be drowned so as not to curse their tribe. One example of those considered mingi is a child's teeth that have grown in on the top first. YES, you are reading that correct! This breaks my heart in so many ways.

You need to go to the site for better detail and real stories. They have great needs so they can save more children from this horrific death and to provide for the children they have saved.

I feel very strongly about this and know the Lord is working here and in me.

Please if you can donate funds, or abilities you may have to assist them, do it today. And if nothing else, pray for this organization and the children!

Our people must learn to do good by meeting the urgent needs of others; then they will not be unproductive.

Attachment

Attachment and bonding are things you think about all the time and "do" when you bring your child home. It's obviously very important and sometimes I think I worry about it more than I should; you know I think do my kids know I am Mom and etc.

As I look back on our fist months when we brought EJ home at 9 months old I can see clearly where she was confused, but also know that is totally not an issue now. With Mighty Mo only being home for almost 5 months now this is something I think about and work on especially since returning to work FT.

On Sunday we were at my parents for lunch. This is where EJ and Mo spend at least 2 full days a week in their Grandma's care. My Mom was holding Mo and I came close to them and he immediately leaned towards me and put his arms out. Talk about melt your heart and proof he knows his Mommy. It was such a great moment!

Every day I thank thee Father for the blessing of my family and for these two precious angels I get to care for every day and tuck in every night. I am thankful for every minute I spend with them Lord, and pray I follow your lead in their lives.
