Only God
I have no words, but am so deeply touched by this blog for sweet Lane Ann and her family. Go Here and feel the presence of our Father. Pray for this family as they grieve and allow Jesus to work in you today.

Ohhh patience where are you???
I feel like I need extra, extra amounts of patience these days and I am failing to find it more than I care to admit.
EJ has been very trying lately. Small ones are so complex and it is so hard trying to figure out what exactly is going on.
I love her so very much and I feel she is still struggling and dealing and doesn't know how to express her feelings from her very traumatic ICU stay back in Oct. and the Dr. visits since then. She randomly brings up the gooyies from her EKG quite a bit and she suddenly panics when I try to clean her ears out. She is being a typical testing your boundaries 3 year old, but I think there is more to it. We are experiencing some sleep issues and other things too.
She is so much our laughter these days as well with the things she says and does. So it hurts to see her struggle and it's hard to keep the patience meter up during these times where she is not listening, acting out, and etc.
I am touched by the soul of our EJ and I realize with her precious kisses, snuggling, I love you's, and caring ways that there is so much eternal significance in these precious years that we as parents get to mold and shape our children for the kingdom of God. NO other task on earth seems quite as important to me right now then raising, training, and guiding my children.
I am still feeling very unsettled these days and have a hard time disciplining myself to dive into the word, get on my knees, and LET GOD lead the way. I want to lead my household by example and I know I need to do it and I just need to let go of control and allow God to have what is his.
Sorry for all the "drama" posts; I promise more cheeriness soon! Mighty Mo is going to be 1 very soon!
Grace, Peace, and Comfort to you all today.

African Dish
I have a new favorite dish and it was so simple and easy! The fun thing is if you have children you can put everything out and they can pick and choose what toppings they want on their curried beef and rice. I didn't think to take a picture last night, but I really liked this dish. I would have never thought to combine some of these things, but it worked and was good.
I found this recipe on this blog. Thanks Kristi for posting about this blog not that long ago.
• 1-2 cups rice - I use Basmatti (I used instant brown rice)
• 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
• 1 medium onion chopped
• salt and pepper to taste
• 1-2 tsp. curry powder (you can add more if you like)
1. Cook rice according to instructions.
2. Fry up the hamburger and onion, breaking it up as it browns. Remove as much fat as you can.
3. Add the seasonings and cook another minute or two.
4. Serve family style. To assemble, place hamburger over the rice on your plate and then add the condiments.
Condiments
• grated Cheddar cheese
• shredded lettuce
• chopped cucumber
• raisins
• sliced bananas
• diced canned or fresh peaches - mango's would work too (Mangos were good in this!)
• chopped peanuts
• shredded coconut
• chopped red onion - if desired
I did not have the last 3 condiments listed, but would love to add those next time.
You can vary the condiments according to what your family likes. You do need something juicy, like mango or peaches otherwise, pick and choose according to your taste. Chutney would be a good addition as it is traditionally served with curry.

Monday Thru Friday is Becoming Hard........
Yes I am going to sound whiny, but I need to get it out and that is one of the reasons I have a blog.
I am thankful everyday for the blessings in my life. I have MORE than I need and more than many, many people will ever have.
So, why is Monday through Friday very hard? It is because I am at work and I want to be home with my 2 blessings. I want more time to fill my days doing the things I feel God is placing in my heart and my life. Don’t get me wrong I am blessed with a very good job with a very good boss and very good co-workers. This job has been a blessing in more ways than one over the last 6 years and I know God placed me here for a reason. I also know that I am NOT a career oriented person, I rather being making an impact other ways. I greatly respect others who are, but I just don’t feel this is where God wants me to be anymore.
I have mentioned a couple times before that I feel a stirring something big happening that only God knows what.
One of those things is I truly believe God is preparing me to be a stay at home Mom, but I just cannot fathom how at this point or when but the desire is the strongest it has ever been and it breaks my heart to leave my children every day.
Don’t get me wrong I am a very spoiled working Mom. I have been blessed with Grandma’s who watch my kids during the day and an Aunt. That has helped me a lot the last couple years, but I know God placed these children in my family and I want to be the one raising them and molding them in his precious word every day, not just 3 hours at night and two jammed packed days on the weekend. There are ministries I want to get involved in more and start and I just know so much more that I could be doing to praise Jesus and radiate God’s love every day in a different way than I am now.
Here is our schedule during the week.
Mommy up at 5/5:30 a.m.
Kiddos up at 6:30 a.m.
Everyone dressed and ready by 7:00 a.m. to either greet the babysitter for the day or pack in the car to go to the other babysitter for the day.
Mommy to work by 7:30 a.m.
Mommy home from work by 4:50 p.m.
Mommy kissing babies hello and immediately throwing some laundry in and figuring out what to have and make for supper if I don’t know already.
Supper usually on the table by 5:30/6:00 Clean up from supper going on or if it is nice a little play time outside until baths.
Baths happen anywhere from 6:30/7:00 p.m. depending on the season
Laundry folding might be occurring while kids are in tub or after or misc. stuff.
Downstairs after bath for a little play time or picking up or whatever.
Mo bottle by 7:45/8:00 p.m. and bed
EJ bed by 8:30/9:00
If everyone goes to bed on time and w/out any issues Mommy then packs up and washes bottles for the next day and everything else the sitters will need, maybe some dish washing, or picking up of toys, a little sitting on the couch and then to bed by 10 or so and repeat.
I don’t know how other Moms keep their houses clean, the meals prepared, the groceries bought, the laundry caught up and etc. With 2 children I don’t have enough time in the day. I can’t stay up any later than I do or I end up burning out and getting sick and what good is a sick Mommy??
So with all this whining going on I have to say that I think a lot of lifestyle, culture changes are in store for our family. I am unsure how long it will take and what all they will be, but I do know this; God Is working in it all. It’s exciting to me that he is working these changes, but also a little frustrating because I don’t know what all that entails or what it means or how long it will take, but I have to fully give it to him and trust him. I think we all know how difficult that can be, especially for a control freak like me. :)
Blessings on your day and thanks for even halfway reading this whiny little post!
And this was my verse for the day...pretty appropriate.
So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.

URGENT CALL TO ACTION
Please go to this link URGENT CALL TO ACTION and sign the petition put together by joint council.
It is so sad and hard for those families who suffer the consequences of one bad decision made by an adoptive family that paints a horrible picture for every adoption. This bad decision could affect many families in process trying to bring children home, children that could be destined to life in an orphanage or on the streets and worse because of this families act with their son adopted from Russia.
Please click on the link and sign this petition and help save children's lives.
Please also pray for this boy who is going through this trial, the family that placed him on the plane, and for the Government's making decisions that could impact thousands of children and families.
I know what it is like to have the Government interfere as we came close to not having our daughter home before Guatemala shut down and so many children are still stuck in the process because of it. Please do not allow this to happen to more families and children who are suppose to be home with them.
Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him.

Blessed Easter!
I am late on the Easter post, but celebrating our Saviour was indeed special and we were blessed to be among family this past weekend. After church on Sunday I told my dad Happy Easter, and he corrected me and said no you say blessed Easter. So I pray everyone had a BLESSED EASTER.
We attempted a family photo..these were the best out of the lot. Maybe next time...

EJ's newest thing and we are still trying to figure out where she learned this one...but while I was attempting to take a pic of Mo she climbed to the top of the couch and said Attention Please. Don't you just love her bed head??

A few nights ago when it started warming up Mo woke up crying in his crib because he was too warm. I brought him down stairs and decided to change his diaper and he immediately passed out. I guess it was nice and cool here.

Just for cuteness!

Treasures
My kids are my greatest treasure here on earth....
Mo Mo in Mommy's Hat...ADORABLE if I don't say so myself!

My grown up EJ went to Sunday school for the first time and Daddy teared up. This is actually a pic of the second time she went, but she got nervous and didn't stay the second time, but for a 3 year old she is doing good. That same day she wouldn't stay for class she actually walked around the church with the big kids carrying her palm branches up to the alter, and then that is when Mommy started tearing up!
