There are certain times in a women’s life that she is a little more emotional than others….so here’s a glimpse of my craziness.
7a.m.
Grandma arrives…Mo Jo is swinging moods (Unpleasant Molars are arriving in his mouth) and goes from happy to whiny in 0.3 seconds….and he WANTS HIS MOMMY.
I distract Mr. Mo and head to the kitchen. If you know our house the den to the kitchen is a long walk, especially for an almost 15 month old. I hear in the distance his feet padding across the wood floor…
Uh Ohh I start packing up things quicker, grab coffee, water, and everything else and just as I am about to reach for the door to leave guess who appears in the kitchen door way…my speedy toddler and he immediately starts crying for Mommy. As I am going out the door I can still hear him as Grandma picks him up and tries to distract him.
BREAKS. MY. HEART.
So what do I do? I immediately call the Hubby and tell him I can’t do it anymore…we are selling the house and moving in with some poor unsuspecting family so I can be home.
:) So, I am just saying…not the best way to start the day. And Lord willing I may just try to do it too... :)

Making my own Laundry Soap!
3 Posts in one week; wow!
I am now making my own liquid laundry soap and so far am loving it! Can you say CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP??? I am going to save a Ton!
Here is the recipe and it is SIMPLE. I could not find Fels when I made my first batch so I used Ivory, but I have now located a retailer that sells it and will be getting it for my next batch. It is suppose to be a huge stain fighter and good for sensitive skin.
LIQUID LAUNDRY SOAP
4 cups hot tap water
1 fels naptha bar of soap
1 cup washing soda
1/2 cup borax
1. Grate bar of soap into the water in saucepan and heat over low/med heat until soap is dissolved.
2. Fill a 5 gallon bucket 1/2 full of hot water and add melted soap, borax, and soda. Add more water to bucket until it is 2/3 full. Cover and let sit overnight to thicken.
3. Stir. Fill a used laundry container 1/2 full with the soap mixture and the rest of the way with water. Shake before each use, it will gel.
~Top loading machines-use 5/8 cup per load (approx 180 loads)
~Front loading machines-use 1/4 cup per load (approx 600 loads)

Summer So Far...
Some things we have been doing this summer...
Husking corn so Mom can freeze it a couple days later...Dad decided to Ham it up for the camera...Hmm maybe that is where EJ gets that! Now all that is left to do is green beans, salsa, tomato juice, peaches, pears, and apple sauce!

Freezing, Strawberries, Raspberries, and Blueberries...

EJ Being a goof...I promise I did not freeze any that were in her mouth..

EJ had a few seconds where she was actually willing to somewhat pose for me in front of these pretty daisies at Na Na's, BUT

Usually she does this if I point the camera at her...She loves to Run!

Swimming at Nana Babs and Mikey's

Breakfast on the Patio

I am working on a Trade....
I am trading the American Dream for the KINGDOM OF GOD.
I read this not that long ago and it has deeply affected me and put into words so many things that have been on my heart.
What is this going to look like in my daily life and my family’s life? It will certainly be a process, and it won’t happen overnight, but changes are a coming folks.
My new motto that my husband is hearing a lot of is I want to simplify our lives. I don’t want the American Dream; I absolutely don’t want it any more! We are so blessed, we have TOO much, and so many have notta!
God has blessed us abundantly and what I am going to do with it? A Big question that I don’t clearly have the answer for right now, but in God’s timing it will be revealed.
In God’s words we are to care for the orphaned, the widowed, the lonely…the least of these. ALL OF US ARE. How are you doing that, how am I doing that? Please do not close your eyes to it anymore, do not be consumed in your own selfishness anymore.
There are children who live there whole lives, every single day, in a crib in a room where the only touch is an occasional feeding and changing when necessary. Children that could thrive despite their special needs if given a loving home and the medical attention they need, but they are sentenced to life in a crib until they reach the age of 5 and are then sent to a mental asylum. This is pretty much a death sentence. I have witnessed children being brought into loving homes out of this room that are THRIVING and SMILING once again.
There are remote villages in Ethiopia where evil is heavily present. Where mothers could use a break and never get it. Where children do not even have the luxury of a diaper, and wear their own waste on a constant basis. Survival consumes every minute of every day and they desperately need to hear about the love of Jesus.
There are families, small children, living among garbage in Guatemala trying to survive and earn some money of anything they can find. Literally they live among the huge garbage piles. There are children caught up on the government system who have been waiting years to come home to their forever families, year’s people.
There are women, young ladies, sold into sex slavery in India trying to pay off their debt so they can be freed from this dark, dark world. My niece is witnessing these places first hand and her heart is broken for them, she has prayed with many of them, offering them a light in their darkness that can only come from knowing the love of Jesus.
So many stories, so much heart break, and yet I sit here in the land of PLENTY, and what am I doing?
The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by Him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long.
Deuteronomy 33:12
More to come as I figure this out….

There is always JOY
I know that my posts seem pretty heavy lately and they are, but I write to process, and I write because the power of prayer and fellow Christians coming together is a wonderful thing…God wants us to not only lean on him first and foremost but also lean on his children he puts in our lives. Some may think I am putting too much out there or ask why am I being so transparent, and that is okay. I actually expect it. Even my husband was a little leery of my last post. We Christians are not always at the same level as our faith grows and continues to change everyday. I am on a huge faith journey and I am spilling my heart because of it. Blogging Therapy I call it. :)
My life is full of complete joy in everything even though there are days I allow the evil of the world and my heart’s desires to take control sometimes.
I mean here are just 2 examples of that complete joy….

Don’t they just make your heart smile??
They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them.
~ Psalm 112:7

CRAZY LOVE & PRAYER REQUESTS
I have never done this before but I have linked up on THIS AWESOME Family of God’s blog to put things out there I wouldn’t normally. I feel that God wants me to do this and so here it is. Will you please pray with us? Can we pray for you? Will you pray for this beautiful family as they spread Crazy Love everywhere they can?
1. Finances to pay off our 2 adoption loans, and mortgage loan. This is a HUGE request I know, but our God is big. Also, if it is not God’s will for us to stay in our home that he would send someone with an offer to pay off all of these things and we will look for something else (no we do not have it for sale and I love my house), but I believe if that is what he wants it will happen in his timing.
2. I ask for No. 1 so No. 2 can possibly be fulfilled….This Momma has never felt such a strong longing for this request more than I have the last 6 months or more. I need to stay home with my children and I fully believe that when I have such strong desires of the heart God himself has put that desire there for a reason.
3. My husband HAD to leave his secure job not log after Mighty Mo came home for crazy reasons and has now started his own insurance agency. Folks we know this is God’s plan, but it takes awhile to build. Please pray that his business grows and we can meet our expenses, but also glorify God in all he does with this business too!
4. Pray that if it is his will these things will happen and then also we may bring more children into our home.
5. Pray that we are seeking these desires not in selfishness but that it is truly in God’s will for it to happen.
6. Pray also that we begin to simplify our lives and live for him in every moment.
I also hope to show some crazy love soon. Do you ever have thoughts in your head like I should do this for this person, or that for this other person. I have this a lot and don’t always act on it or forget the minute I get home. Pray I start acting on it. I have and it is so rewarding listening to God and touching people even in the smallest ways because he knows they need it!
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.
